You should never wear something because you think people might look at you in a strange way or think you're eccentric. Born near Copenhagen to a Danish father and English mother, Michael moved to a small village in Hampshire in his mid-twenties and has lived there ever since. He retains an equal fondness for both countries, regularly returning to the land where he grew up. With no specific aspirations when he first moved to England, an open day at the local agricultural college (where he also met his wife) led to him pursuing horticulture, and he has never looked back.
Michael wears a gold Merino Wool V-neck and Button-Down Tattersall Shirt, along with the chocolate variant of our ever-popular Moleskin Pants, turned up with his inimitable style, showing off the colorful HJ Softop® Cotton Socks. Michael's interest in style started when he was a teenager. He was never one to follow the crowd, always wearing what he liked, not what the fashion of time dictated or what others expected him to wear. He enjoys mixing colors and textures, adding badges and pins, giving classic outfits a little twist, a glowing exemplar of the Peter Christian ethos. Michael does not see any contradiction between being practical and stylish – truly a man after our own heart.

4I ordered 34 w 32 L and the pants are marked that way but i can barely fasten the waist and the pants are easily 2” longer than a comparable pair of 34w 32L
Super fit and good quality. I will wear them for dresser occasions. Appreciate the room in the crotch area as that has always been an issue for my oversized genitals.

These are mid-weight tattersall cotton in a variety of classic, timeless patterns. I have 6 of which have worn well over the past 3 years.

All hail Lord Trousers! On the one hand I'm more than a bit disappointed that it wasn't until I was in my sixth decade of life that I tried on a pair of moleskin trousers. On the other I couldn't be more pleased with them. I've seen it said that moleskins are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I can attest that they are indeed warm in the winter, being at this very moment in a period of cold weather in which the temperature has often dropped into the single digits. If the claim that moleskins are cool in the summer is also true, my chinos and khakis are going to a charity shop, being very thin gruel indeed when compared to the glorious moleskin with its comforting heft. I'll add one other thing: I bought my first two pairs of moleskins from Peter Christian in November 2024 on a whim, adding them to my order for some corduroy trousers. My next order, which was for eight pairs of moleskins, was placed on 1 January 2025, that being the first date which SWMBO let down her guard so as to allow me to access to the credit card.

Seriously small in waist by at least 2 inches. So size 40 U.S. is size 38 U.K. Product is otherwise well made and appears as presented.
