Spring has properly arrived here in Sussex, the garden is putting on quite the show. Amy (our Miniature Poodle) has taken to disappearing into the bluebells, and the nightingales are singing away in the hedgerow each evening. I could listen to them all night.
It's the time of year when I start to get rather excited, because spring is when the results of our hard work in design and sampling finally arrive in the building. The pieces we've brought in for this season have taken the better part of a year to pull together, some longer. In addition to making modest improvements to old favorites, I try to surprise you with interesting pieces that you won’t find anywhere else. Let me share a few.
FABRICS AND YARNS
For this season’s linen shirts, we've sourced 100% linen woven from European Flax. The flax is traceable, sustainably grown, and you can easily feel the difference in quality. Linen done properly improves with every wash. This is a shirt you'll reach for summer after summer.

And then there are the Linen and Wool Pants, which I'm very proud of. It's an exclusive cloth combining linen's breathability with the natural drape of a fine lightweight wool. The sort of pant that works for an alfresco lunch but still looks perfect in the evening. Nick (Lord Trousers himself) has already put his name down for a pair.

BUTTONS
“Buttons?” I hear you say. What is she talking about? It might sound like a small thing, but the wrong button can ruin a garment, while the right one can elevate it beyond expectation.

The cloth on the Rosewood Tweed Jacket, woven by Abraham Moon, is exceptional, but it was the buttons I agonised over the longest. Properly sourced horn buttons are the kind of detail most people won’t consciously notice, but one that lifts the jacket to another level. Oh, and my Egyptian Cotton Shirts are finished with real shell buttons, a small feature that brings a sense of luxury to getting dressed each morning.

HAND-PAINTED, MONOGRAMMED AND ONE OF A KIND
The piece that has genuinely stopped people in their tracks when previewed: the Sunflower Hand-Painted Leather Belt. Each one is individually hand-cut and hand-painted with sunflower motifs, no two are ever identical. A belt designed to enhance any pair of pants and draw admiring glances.
And on the subject of making things your own, we’re offering monogramming for the first time this season. Your initials, carefully embroidered onto select pieces. It’s something I’ve wanted to introduce for a long while, and I’m delighted we finally can. A thoughtful gift, or simply an elegant way of saying this one is mine
Turn a few heads in a Panama hat, this year I have upgraded the weave to the finest possible, all made by hand. A well-made Panama never loses its class, even after years of service.

AND LOOKING INTO THE FUTURE
I should mention, that Spring 2027 is already underway behind the scenes. There’s a new fabric I can’t stop thinking about, but that can wait for another day. Amy is calling me back to the garden. The bluebells won’t last forever, nor will the nightingales. I intend to enjoy both while they last.
Wishing you a long hot summer.
